Lace up your skates and join the very first Hardwater Festival in Haliburton. The event is happening on January 28th at the West Guilford Community Centre, and it promotes winter activities and sports. Dysart’s Recreation Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller says the event focuses on ice activities.
Mueller says some people are afraid to venture out in the winter, so this is a good chance for people to sample activities. This is part of Dysart’s Explore Our Lakes program, which is funded by the provincial government. Mueller says she hopes it becomes an annual event.
