There is a freezing rain warning in effect for Haliburton County.
Environment Canada says freezing rain will last for several hours, before changing to rain late this evening. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Officials say power outages could happen because of tree branches breaking from ice build-up.
