Ontario’s autism flag could be flying high in Minden Hills

Minden Hills is being asked to raise the flag for autism. A campaign has started to have Ontario’s autism flag raised at town hall on World Autism Day in April. Leader of the campaign, Yvonne MacDougall has a son with autism, and says she wants to see inclusiveness in the community.

MacDougall says raising the flag will raise awareness about the day-to-day issues faces by people with autism and their families. The municipality will hear the proposal at their council meeting tomorrow.
