Minden Hills Decides How People Will Vote In 2018 Municipal Election

There will be no change to how voters cast ballots in Minden Hills.  Councilors have agreed to stick with the traditional first past the post system of voting instead of moving to a ranked ballot system, where voters can rank their choice of candidate.  The timeline was too tight to change to that system.  In 2018, voters will also be able to vote over the internet, by phone or in person just like they did last time. It’s going to cost just over $60,000.
