Medically assisted suicide most likely won’t be available in Haliburton County.
It’s been legal in Canada since the summer, but Haliburton Highlands Health Services President and CEO Carolyn Plummer says requests for the service will be sent to Peterborough’s hospital.
Plummer says a plan is in the works for anyone who asks for the service in Minden or Haliburton, as the hospitals determine what their role should be.
