News Haliburton BIA donated $25K to the skate park construction SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, contributor, Monday, Mar. 6th, 2017 Donations for the Haliburton Skate Park keep rolling in. The Haliburton Village BIA is pitching in $25,000 to help the project along. In total, around $70,000 needs to be raised, and there have already been multiple fundraisers including last month’s Battle of the Bands. BIA Chair, Luke Schell, says they are dedicated to the viability of Haliburton, and contributing to the skate park shows their investment in the youth. The skate park will be on the old baseball diamond, across from the arena and curling club. Construction is set to begin this spring.
