Head over to Sir Sam’s Ski Hill this weekend to check out some of the best ski cross racers. The International Ski Federation is bringing its Ski Cross Race to the Haliburton Highlands.

The competition pits four skiers against each other at a time, on a track with jumps, rollers, and other obstacles. Organizer Chris Bishop says this was the kind of event they had in mind when they updated the ski and boardercross track earlier this year. He says bringing in the competition will bring some cash into town for local businesses, while boosting tourism.

The event gets underway at 9:30 tomorrow morning, with a team meet-and-greet at 4:00pm.
