Our local health unit is going to the community for ideas to tackle drug and alcohol issues. The Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge Health Unit is opening up an online survey, which is the first step to create a regional drug strategy.
That strategy will look at four main areas, including drug prevention, harm reduction, and enforcement. Police units, fire departments, and healthcare professionals are all involved in the plan.
