Laurie Scott is asking everyone to take a moment and salute the soldiers who fought at Vimy Ridge this Sunday. April 9th marks the 100th anniversary, and the MPP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock says the three-day battle was a turning point in Canadian history.
She says the storming was a truly Canadian endeavour, planned and executed by the country. She says many of the soldiers came from the Haliburton area, and this weekend is a chance to honour everyone who served.
