The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society is honouring all of the people who help the organization run. National Volunteer Week kicks off on Monday, and the KHCAS says it benefited from around 60 volunteers last fiscal year.
The volunteers drive kids to school, offer mentorship, work on the Board of Directors, or help to plan fundraising events.
Executive Director Jennifer Wilson says their dedication, energy and enthusiasm contributes to the well-being of many of the children, youth, and families.
