The number of people living year-round in Haliburton County is rising. Stats Canada released its numbers from the 2016 census, which shows there are about 800 more residents living in the county permanently compared to five years ago.
There are 55 more men than women living in the county. Nearly 58 per cent of the population falls into the 15 to 64-year-old age range, and the average age is up from 52 to 54-years-old.
