With the significant rainfall in this weekend’s forecast, you are being reminded to be ready in case of flooding.
North Hastings Fire Chief Pat Hoover says it’s important for everyone to stay away from rivers and creeks.
Hoover is also asking you to remove anything near shore lines that could be swept.
If you’re affected by potential flooding or an emergency, you can pick up sandbags at the following locations in Minden Hills:
- S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre, located at 55 Parkside Street, Minden
- Roads Department Yard #3, located at 4564 County Road 121 (Kinmount location), in the Sand Dome to the left of the entrance.
