Flood watch in effect for parts of Highlands East and North Kawartha

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority has downgraded its flood warning to a watch across its area.

The conservation authority says this means flooding is possible in some waterways or municipalities, and that those in flood-prone areas should prepare.

The flood watch is in effect in parts of Highlands East, North Kawartha, Faraday, Wollaston, Limerick, and Tudor and Cashel.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has also downgraded its flood warning to a water safety statement for most of the Bancroft area.

A flood warning is still in effect for the Gull River.
