Busy weekend for Haliburton Highlands O.P.P.

The Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police released its statistics from Canada Road Safety Week.

Between May 14 and Monday, O.P.P. Constable Tim Negus says 66 drivers were caught speeding.

Negus added that there were seven collisions over the same period, and two of them involved animals.

There were four seatbelt charges as well.

Negus adds that stunt driving penalties are severe.

Negus wants to remind everyone to buckle up, control your speed, and keep a close eye for wildlife roaming our roads.
