BIA and Rotary Club of Haliburton Donate $50,000 towards new skate park in the Village

Summer skaters will have a new place to play as soon as this summer in the Village of Haliburton.

The Rotary Club of Haliburton and Business Improvement Association each gave $25,000 cheques to the municipality of Dysart Et Al.

Skate Park Fundraising Committee Member Trevor Kelly says the current skate park near Head Lake is outdated.

So far, $130,000 has been raised for the new skate park, which will be next to the ball diamond

Skate Park Fundraising Committee Member Trevor Kelly says the more money they receive, the better the new park will be.

The new structure would be made of concrete, replacing the current wooden structure.

Call the Municipality of Dysart Et Al at 705-457-1740 if you want to donate or get involved.
