Haliburton County is looking to do an upgrade on the West Guilford Bridge.
The Roads Committee learned from engineering reports that the expansion joints on the bridge need to be replaced.
The estimated cost is $70,000 and the next step will be to issue a request for proposals.
That could happen at the next county council meeting June 29.

Warden Brent Devolin said bridges are million dollar structures and replacing components within them are usually costly.
The bridge is on Kennisis Lake Road.
There is no word on when the repairs would start.
