Leonard Salvatori is humbled a school in Haliburton Village will bear his name.
The Haliburton Adult Education and Training Centre will be called the Leonard Salvatori Alternate Education Centre.
Trillium Lakelands District School Board Trustee Gary Brohman said the motion for the name change was passed last week.
Salvatori says he worked with many great people in his 35 years as a trustee.

Salvatori spent decades as a minor hockey representative, school board trustee, and scouts leader.
He also mentions communities are only as strong as their volunteers.
No date has been set for the re-naming ceremony at the school, which is by Haliburton Highlands Secondary School.
