Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit to start water testing by 17 Haliburton County beaches

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit will start testing water by our county’s beaches.

The testing will start this week at 17 beaches, including the Rotary beaches in Minden and Eagle Lake beach just to name a few.

The tests will determine if there is E.coli and other bacteria present in the water.

If bacteria levels are higher than the province’s acceptable levels, the health unit will post warning signs at the beach in question.
