Haliburton County is discussing the request for $25,000 to the National Pond Hockey Association. The Tourism and Finance Committees talked about their recommendations at the May 14 meetings.
Members agreed it is an important event that needs to be supported in some way. The Finance Committee submitted the recommendation for councilors to support $10,000 to the event for the next three years.
Council will make the decision at their May 28 meeting.
