NewsHaliburton Highlands O.P.P. issue 103 road related charges over the Canada Day long weekend SHARE ON: Kenny Trenton, contributor, Tuesday, Jul. 4th, 2017 Photo: SuppliedHaliburton Highlands O.P.P. laid over 100 charges between June 30 and July 3rd in the county.These charges are related to road safety.Sixty eight charges were for speeding and two each were for seatbelt infractions and distracted driving.There were also 31 charges for other laws related to the Highway Traffic Act.The Haliburton Highlands detachment also reported there were no serious injuries or fatalities on our roads and waterways over the weekend.The O.P.P. tends to keep a closer eye on the roads and waterways during long weekends.
