Just over 30 convictions related to illegal building have been obtained in Haliburton County since 2008 by Tarion Warranty Corporation. President of the Ontario Home Builder’s Association, Eric DenOuden says they are working with Tarion to raise awareness about what people should be looking for in their home builders. DenOuden says they want to make sure home owners have the proper warranty and are using registered builders.
