Minden Hills to break ground on new fire hall on Friday morning

Minden Hills will break ground Friday on its new fire hall along Highway 35.

The new fire hall will be close to the county’s paramedic services building.

At a council meeting in the spring, Reeve Brent Devolin said the fire station would be paid for without council having to dip into reserves.

With a surplus for the past year, the township can finance the project without having to borrow money.

The total cost is budgeted at $1.9 million.

The ground breaking will be Friday at 10:00 a.m.
