Minden hopeful upper levels of government will contribute towards landfill issues in the future

Minden Reeve Brent Devolin is hopeful Ottawa and Queen’s Park will contribute towards waste issues.

Devolin was talking about a remedial work order issued by Ontario’s Environmental Ministry in regards to the Scotch Line Landfill.

Just over $29,000 will be spent this year on remedial work, but just over $127,000 will be spent next year according to a report presented to council.

Devolin says he hopes all levels of government can work together to rectify and landfill issues in the future.
