Some of the ticks can carry Lyme disease, according to H.K.P.R. Environmental Health Manager Richard Ovcharovich. He says if you think a tick has been on you for 24 hours, you should see a doctor right away. He adds that if caught early, Lyme disease can be treated with antibiotics.
