A Toronto based blogger is impressed with what he calls home style cooking in Haliburton County.

Raymond Cua  is also known as “The Travelling Foodie” and has been to different countries trying many different dishes.

Cua spent four days in the county in July and says he was impressed with the variety of restaurants in Haliburton and the quality.

He also says he notices a difference between urban and rural cuisine.

Cua says the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance asked him to visit Haliburton and report on his dining and tourism experiences.

The alliance is a non-profit group committed to growing food based tourism in the province.
