OPP called in to investigate teen’s drowning in Algonquin Park

The OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch will now look into the drowning of a Toronto teen in Algonquin Park.  It was a school trip 15-year-old Jeremiah Perry shouldn’t have been on.

That’s because, it was revealed last week he and 14 other students failed a mandatory swimming test in order to take part in the wilderness trip with a school from Toronto. The Renfrew County OPP’s Crime Unit has wrapped up its onsite investigation on Big Trout Lake.

The coroner’s office is also investigating the teen’s death last month.
