The Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association has an extra approximately $13,500 to work with.
H.H.O.A. Board Member Bob Cole tells the My Haliburton Now newsroom around 220 people attended its fifth annual Chicken and Rib dinner earlier this month.
Most of the money will go towards its fish hatchery program, which has been stocking Haliburton County’s lake, with mainly trout, since the late 1990’s.
The outdoors association is 100 per cent volunteer based according to Cole.
The next fundraiser is the Wild Game dinner, set for spring of 2018.
