Highlands East has more information on lakeside septic systems in the municipality.
The municipality conducted inspections of over 900 properties on seven lakes.
According to a report presented to council, 76 per cent of systems inspected were deemed low risk.
Reeve Dave Burton says it’s good news to see the majority of systems are in good condition.

The report says 12 per cent of systems inspected were considered high risk, or very high risk.
Burton adds it’s too soon to say if the municipality will take remedial action.
