The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit wants to prevent rabies in pets.
The health unit is teaming up with veterinarians in Haliburton County to offer low-cost rabies vaccination clinics.
According to the H.K.P.R. 288 rabies cases were confirmed in Ontario compared to 24 in 2015.
Public Health Inspector Fran Tsotsos says $30 is a small price to pay for your pet’s well-being.
