The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. will be on the lookout for drivers and passengers who don’t buckle up.

The detachment’s Fall Seat Belt Campaign is on until October 6th.

Community Safety Officer Dianne Dauphinee says if police catch you not wearing your seat belt, you can be fined.

Dauphinee adds you are putting others at risk if you don’t wear your safety belt.

Dauphinee adds the Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. charged 24 drivers with seat belt infractions during last year’s campaign.
