Canadian Blood Services has more pints of blood in its reserves thanks to Haliburton.

A blood donor clinic was held at the Haliburton Legion last week.

Blood services Territory Manager Andra Stancu says our community’s generosity came through.

At July’s donor clinic, Stancu says blood services received 79 pints of blood.

She adds despite the success of the Haliburton clinic, blood services still has a need for more donors.

Stancu says the biggest need is for O negative blood.

According to the blood services website, a car crash victim may need as many as 50 donations to survive.
