Jamie Schmale says the suspension of the Energy East Pipeline affects rural Ontario

Jamie Schmale says a few hundred jobs in the riding are lost thanks to the government.

The Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Brock M.P. feels TransCanada pulled out of the Energy East Pipeline project due to government red tape.

Schmale says a company in Peterborough that employs people from the county closed its doors.

Schmale also says the confidence in Canada’s energy industry is weak.
