The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society says there is a need for more foster families in the area.

This comes as next week is being recognized as Foster Family Week in the county.

Children’s Aid says foster families give neglected or abused children homes and care to improve their lives and their futures.

The organization says there is growing need for foster families across the region, especially to give homes to teens, siblings, and children with special needs.
