The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. wants drivers to keep a close eye for wildlife on our roadways.

The O.P.P. says it responded to nine collisions involving deer in the county over the last week.

The detachment says pay attention, especially from sunset to midnight, and just before and after sunrise when deer are most likely to roam the roads.

The O.P.P. also says don’t swerve to avoid animals as you could end up losing control of your vehicle and end up causing a more serious crash.
