Dysart et al could see 12 new affordable rental properties sometime next year.
K.L.H. C.E.O. Hope Lee says she is hopeful Dysart council will approve its site plan at a meeting before the end of the year.
The townhome style units would be built by Whispering Pines off County Road 21.
Lee adds all affordable housing constructed by K.L.H. are energy efficient.

Lee doesn’t have specific numbers for Haliburton County but says there is a waiting list of approximately 1,200 people looking for affordable housing.
She adds the wait is anywhere between three-to-five years.
