A team of special Olympians in Haliburton County is asking Dysart et al for help.

The Haliburton County Red Wolves is looking for money to attend the National Games in Prince Edward Island next May.

Red Wolves Coordinator Yvette Brauer says five athletes from the county have been chosen to represent our province.

Brauer adds the athletes are from all over the county.

Reeve Murray Fearrey says council will consider the funding request.

Brauer plans to make a similar request to Minden Hills council on Thursday.

The Red Wolves compete in bowling, softball, curling, golf and recently added shuffleboard.

There are 35 athletes on the Red Wolves.
