Photo: Supplied by Kenny Trenton/93.5 Moose FM /Vista Radio.Minden Hills no longer has a reeve.The township is changing the title of the Head of Council to mayor.Current Mayor Brent Devolin says he has to explain to people on a regular basis what a reeve is.The title change also applies to councilor Cheryl Murdoch, who is now the Deputy Mayor.According to the Ontario Municipal Act, there is no difference between a reeve and a mayor.The only cost to the township is new business cards and stationary.
