Haliburton Highlands Health Services has an extra $15,000 in its reserves.
That’s thanks to the palliative care centre being built under budget.
The project was originally expected to cost $1,265,000.
H.H.H.S. President and C.E.O. Carolyn Plummer says keeping the project under budget is the result of great teamwork.

Plummer also says the surplus will be added to Health Service’s reserves.
Plummer reported the surplus at last week’s health services board meeting.
The centre currently has two beds available.
