Algonquin Highlands Mayor Carol Moffatt says she is proud of the township’s commitment to the environment.
According to an environmental department report, approximately 6,600 kilograms of waste was dropped off at the township’s hazardous waste event on October 7th.
Moffatt says residents deserve credit for making the event a success.
Moffatt adds she is not surprised by the results.
Moffatt adds a major goal of the township is to keep unnecessary waste away from the landfills.
