The Kawartha Lakes O.P.P. wants to make you aware of a scam making the rounds.
According to a media release, a resident told the detachment that a deposit was made through a buy and sell social media site for a pair of boots.
The deposit was made via e-transfer.
The boots were never delivered, and the seller has not returned any of the buyer’s calls.
The O.P.P. is investigating the scam and wants to hear from other residents who may have been affected by this.
