Brent Devolin says construction of the new fire hall will be delayed for weeks, not months.
The Mayor of Minden Hills says the site along Highway 35 has been released by the Ministry of Labour, meaning work can resume.
Two workers were injured when they fell after the roof collapsed on Tuesday afternoon.
Devolin says he got word of the green light on Wednesday.

Devolin adds township officials will be meeting with the construction company in the next couple of weeks to discuss the next steps.
The new fire hall was originally expected to be built by early spring.
