Human Trafficking victims to have priority access to affordable housing

Victims of Human Trafficking will have priority access to affordable rental housing.

The province announced it is expanding the Survivors of Domestic Violence Portable Housing Benefit program.

The program was created last year but was only for survivors of domestic violence.

The program gives victims money to find rental accommodations immediately in their communities instead of having to leave town, or wait for a unit to become available.
