You may want to double check your smoke alarms in your home or cottage. Dysart Fire Chief Miles Maughan says the smoke alarm blitz is coming up in July. The fire department will be knocking on doors to ensure smoke alarms are working and up to regulations. Maughan says a new regulation also requires each home to have a Co2 detector.
