Highland Storm teams kicked off the playoffs this weekend. On Saturday the Atom AE Storm hosted the Huntsville Otters at the A. J. LaRue Arena in Haliburton in their first game of round 1. It was an exciting game from the beginning and evenly matched. The Otters came on strong winning 5-4. Sunday they were back at it, in Huntsville for game 2 this time the Atom AE’s won it in overtime. Storm goals by Parker Simms who scored the first goal of the game and the ot winner . McLean Rowden and Jace Mills added singles. Elsewhere the Ridgewood Ford Highland storm Atom A’s beat the Durham Crusaders 9-3 to take game one of their series and on Sunday the Joanne Sharpley’s source for sports Haliburton family medical centre peewees hosted Durham Crusaders as well. The Crusaders took game one 4-2 with both storm goals scored by Kaine Brannigan. And The Pepper Mill Steak and Pasta House Dollos Foodland Bantam A dropped game 1 against the Durham Crusaders. 8-. Game two is this Saturday at 2 pm in Haliburton.
