Minden Hills comes up with insurance plan for low and medium risk user groups

Groups wanting to use municipal facilities in Minden Hills are getting help from the township.

Minden is increasing its insurance coverage so people and organizations wanting to use township property can.

Mayor Brent Devolin says the cost of getting insurance can sometimes be a roadblock for some.

The cost of the additional coverage was quoted at $2,500.

Council came up with a chart for rates users would have to pay to use municipal facilities.

Fees are based on factors including if alcohol is served, as well as the type and size of event.
