Storm Playoff Report

The Highlands Storm Ridgewood Ford Atom A’s eliminated the Durham Crusaders with a couple of wins over the weekend. They beat the Crusaders 7-2 in Durham on Saturday then delivered the final blow in Haliburton on Sunday 11-1. In other action  The Pepper Mill Steak and Pasta House Dollos Foodland Bantam A played the Durham Crusaders on Saturday. The Crusaders were coming into the match with a 1-0 lead in the best of five playoff series. The Bantam A’s came out strong and evened the series with a 6-2 win. Storm goals by  Brendan Coumbs and Desi Davies who both scored twice and singles by Jackson Gill and Tim Turner. Game 3 on Sunday saw the Crusaders come back for a 5-2 win and a 2games to 1 lead in the series. The Bantams headback to Oshawa this Saturday for game 4 . Meanwhile the Joanne Sharpley’s source for sports Haliburton family medical centre peewees travelled to Whitby on Saturday for game 2 and looking to even their series with the Durham Crusaders which they did with a 2-1 win.  On Sunday the teams were back in Haliburton and in a real nail biter the Peewee’s hung on for a 6-5 win  and a 2games to 1 lead in the series. Game 4 for the Peewees is in Whitby on Feb 3 at 130pm and Game 5 in Haliburton on Feb. 4 at 2pm.
