Minden Hills gets over $41,000 from the province

Minden Hills will be receiving some money from the province it never expected to get.

The money comes from a Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs program to the tune of $41,200.

Mayor Brent Devolin tells the My Haliburton Now Newsroom that there are no specific conditions attached to the funding, which he says is rare from the province.

Devolin adds he isn’t sure how the money will be spent but mentioned a couple of initiatives it can go towards.

He says the revitalization of Minden’s downtown core is one area the money can be spent and looks forward to input from the Economic Development Committee.
