Dysart after-school program to start on March 21

Students from six-to-nine-years-old will be able to have some fun after school starting this month.

Dysart et al is starting a pilot project for an after-school program that will be at Stuart Baker Elementary on Wednesdays starting on March 21st.

Most of the programming will be around sports and physical activity, but Recreations and Programs Coordinator Andrea Mueller says the type of programming will rotate weekly depending on what children are looking for.

Mueller adds the program was created based on feedback from a youth recreation survey last year in which 131 families participated.

The cost is $24 for the 12-weeks and Mueller mentions the program was made possible by donations from several businesses and community groups.

If you want to enroll your child, you can call Mueller at 705-457-1740, ext. 35.
