Minden Hills won’t be installing a boat launch on Claude Brown Road

If Bob Lake will be getting a boat launch, it won’t be on Claude Brown Road.

Minden Hills council says it will not be paying for the launch, which was quoted by township staff at $182,680.

According to the Bob Lake Association, the cost of building a launch would be $30,000.

Mayor Brent Devolin tells the My Haliburton Now newsroom that while the Claude Brown Road proposal was declined by council, the township is still open to creative solutions.

Bob Lake homeowners have been looking for a boat launch since 2016 when the original launch on the south end of the lake was found to be on private property.
