Haliburton County councilors are not happy with the Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO). At yesterday’s special council meeting, councilors discussed the recent OPP Billing Model update.
Councilor Carol Moffatt said AMO most likely is aware of council’s feelings through second hand reports. Moffatt said she felt a meeting with the Association should be set up to express first hand disappointment in how Haliburton County was represented throughout the OPP Billing Model process.
Council agreed to reach out to surrounding municipalities for support. The item will be on the next council meeting agenda.
